The collaboration beautifully connects fashion with art and is comprised of three sweater styles, knitted in Scottish cashmere and featuring intarsia designs inspired by Ling’s Line Paintings

We are so happy with our recent collaboration with Jenny Williams of @what_my_daughter_wore. She documents the sartorial wardrobe choices of her daughter and her friends. Our Q & B sweaters will be featured on Jenny’s highly acclaimed Instagram/Blog and her soon to launch Fall 2014 book, published by Powerhouse books.

The polka dot’s most prolific creative proponent is perhaps Yayoi Kusama, who as a young Japanese female artist and writer left Japan to become a fixture of the 1950’s and 60’s New York avant-garde scene. There, her works exhibited alongside the likes of Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg and George Segal.
Present day, in celebration of Yayoi Kusama, The Tate Modern are hosting an exhibition of her work up until 5 June 2012. See http://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-modern/exhibition/yayoi-kusama for further details.
The repetition and pattern of the polka dot is still a key fashion statement, with May 2012 edition of Vogue reporting it as the next fashion mania.
If you want to feed your desire for the super size spot take a look at this seasons Queene and Belle collection which features a beautiful polka dot wrap.
