We hand-finish all our cashmere knitwear pieces in our studio in Scotland, once they have been received back from our local factory in the Borders.
A few archive photos showing our meticulous attention to detail when hand finishing – right down to the sequin covered kilt-pins which we use for our swing tags and labels.

London & Paris Fashion Show Weeks

Queene and Belle were at the London and Paris Fashion Show Weeks as usual this year.
As well as spending time with clients and showing the new collections for the following season, there was a little time to wander around the streets of Paris and discover some inspiring window displays.

These were taken of a lovely bookstore on the Rue de Rivoli in Paris. The bags in the window were made from vintage wrapping paper.
In London, we show our collection from the Haymarket Hotel. This is a lovely venue and a great space to work from, as you can see from the photos.
Stockholm research

With the current fascination for all things Scandinavian I decided to check out Stockholm over the weekend.
To get a real feel for the light and crystal clear air I made Hotel J at Naka Strand my base, from there it’s only a 10 minute hop over to Stockholm’s city centre going by boat.
The wonderful early autumn weather, beautiful people and stunning architecture of Norrmalm and Gamla Stan coupled with the cool almost 70’s vibe of Sodermalm made it perfection itself for re-charging my creative batteries!
I also visited our exclusive stockists Skindeep – a beautifully eclectic multi-labelled boutique who have just received their new Queen & Belle Autumn Winter collection.
ps I am wearing the Queene and Belle chunky knit aran cardi “Joe” (shown in our previous blog article) perfect for cooler northern evenings!
